About Tom Current

Tom Current has been practicing law in Lynchburg, VA for 20 years. He graduated from Purdue University in 1972 with an engineering degree and as a Distinguished Military Graduate in Army ROTC. He served a total of 30 years in the Army, active and reserve, retiring in 2003 at the rank of Colonel. His numerous assignments included 3 very successful commands, 2 as company commander and 1 as battalion commander, with one of those being in Korea; and 2 tours with Special Forces, plus numerous staff assignments. His highest position held was as the Chief of Staff, 80th Division (Institutional Training), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.

He graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 1983 with the Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree, and has practiced law in Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia.

Tom has 2 adult children, Jennifer and Jonathan, and a 2 year old granddaughter, Evangeline. He and his lovely wife Charlotte live in Campbell County.
